Gail is the ideal colleague. Whether it's her sidewalk repair program or standing up against a flawed development plan, Gail and I work together well. We need Gail Larson to be reelected to the Cleveland Heights City Council.

Gail Larson conducts herself with respect, responsibility, and intelligence on our City Council. She listens to all sides and helps clarify and unite for solutions. I’m grateful we have a councilperson working for what’s best for our community.

Gail came into City Council with an agenda and commitment to improve Cleveland Heights, particularly in housing. She does her homework and is always prepared to collaborate with her council colleagues on city issues. Gail listens to our citizens and responds! She gives us hope that the city will do better, and she will not stop trying. Gail needs to be re-elected to City Council.

As we sometimes struggle to find competent elected officials in Cleveland Heights, Gail Larson has demonstrated the qualities of thoughtful, informed, and honest leadership I look for on city council. She possesses the rare character traits of listening first, learning the issues, and passionately working to get things accomplished.

Gail Larson and I are from the same generation, and we know how vital it is for each of us to be actively involved in our community. I'm impressed that as a League of Women Voters volunteer, she attended hours of Council meetings and then decided to serve as an elected official. Gail is collaborative, grounded, and responsive. She shares the values of our collective community—I am particularly pleased that she shares my desire for a greener Heights.

What I value most about Gail Larson as our City Council member is that she is not a politician. She is a public servant. Gail is unwavering in her values and principles. While she understands the complexity of governance and the necessity of compromise in democracy, she never loses sight of her raison d'être: service to her community and working toward a Cleveland Heights that is responsive to its residents’ needs, concerns, and hopes for our shared future.

I’m supporting Gail Larson for re-election to Cleveland Heights City Council. We need representatives who share our values, really listen to our concerns, and are willing put in the hard work to make Cleveland Heights a thriving community for all residents. Gail Larson has been an active and devoted member of our PTA at Noble Elementary School for many years. She is typically one of the first to volunteer for our school events and she is consistent with attending our meetings and sharing relevant community information. Because of her concern for the safety of our students and families, as well as the residents on the streets surrounding our school, she was able to advocate for improved traffic calming measures in the area. So far, this has resulted in two school community meetings with the mayor and the installment of a new stop sign. I appreciate Gail so much, not just because of all of her service to our community, but also because she's just a great human! She's always positive and encouraging, and her kindness is so refreshing—and so needed!

I'm proud to endorse Gail Larson for re-election to the City Council. My friendship and association with Gail goes back several years to when she was a leader in grassroots efforts to revitalize housing in the Noble Road neighborhood. That work was affiliated with Greater Cleveland Congregations, where Gail and I served together as volunteers. Since she has been on the City Council, I have worked with Gail through the Racial Justice Task Force, on which I am a member and Gail serves as the Council liaison. I have also seen Gail in action at City Council meetings. She has always impressed me as hardworking, diligent, well informed, respectful of others, and insightful. When she speaks on an issue, invariably her words go to the heart of the matter under discussion. I know she cares deeply about our city. We will all benefit by re-electing Gail Larson in November.

Gail Larson is an excellent Cleveland Heights city councilor. You can tell by when and where she shows up. If it’s about her Noble community, she shows up. If it’s about Noble Elementary School or public education, she shows up as an advocate and a volunteer. If it’s about Severance Center, or the Cleveland Heights Green Team, or the Public Library, or the Caledonia Ravine, or the Coventry PEACE Park, or Cedar-Lee, Gail shows up to do the essential work. If it’s about public safety, racial justice, gender equity and including EVERYONE, you know Gail will be there, contributing in her quiet, thoughtful way. As a councilwoman, Gail always shows up, distinguishing herself by having read all the legislation. It’s easy to tell by the questions she very politely asks. And the votes she casts. Gail is the best we’ve got. As you get acquainted with her, I’m confident you’ll agree: we need to re-elect Gail Larson to Cleveland Heights City Council this November.

I wholeheartedly endorse Gail Larson’s reelection to City Council. Council’s primary role in the elected mayor/council form of government is to create policy. Gail has kept to that path, quietly and effectively pushing for the City’s adoption of its current lead abatement policy and pursuing solutions to street and sidewalk safety issues. Whether as chair or as one of three members, Gail shows up and contributes to the work of the Council committees to which she is assigned. A long-time resident of the Noble Neighborhood, Gail has participated and engaged other residents in planting trees, cultivating gardens, and addressing illegal dumping in the Caledonia ravine. Importantly in this era of confrontation, Gail is always thoughtful and respectful toward her colleagues and constituents.

Gail is a true Cleveland Heights asset. She has a long history of working to better our community and brings a caring, common-sense approach to serving our city. She is a consummate professional who is truly looking to make our community a better place. Her presence on City Council is crucial to our city’s growth and future.
